It doesn’t seem that long ago that I was blogging about how I was “back” from taking a break. Here I am again…. Unfortunately a family tragedy struck us back in March, and it’s taken until now for things to start to get back to normal.
I’d like to thank everyone who sent me notes of concern. I look forward to getting back to blogging, and to your comments.

If Bloc MPs aren’t busy trying to set up a seperatist-coalition with the Liberals to seize power they’re busy sending out emails supporting terrorists. At least that’s the word coming out of Quebec where the media is reporting Maria Mourani, the Bloc Quebecois MP for Ahuntsic, sent an email to all sitting MPs that include videos that praise Hamas and its actions against Israel and condemn Fatah for trying to establish a peaceful settlement.
In fact, all the groups praised in the video Maria Mourani sent out - Hamas, Palestinian Islamic Jihad and the Al Aqsa Martyrs Brigade – are actually on the Department of Public Safety terrorist organization list.

I can’t hear you over the whetstones.
Michael Ignatieff seems to be picking up where Stephane Dion left off. The tough talk and rhetoric about a coalition was just that, all talk. In the end the Liberals accepted the Conservative budget with a token amendment. After all the rhetoric was finished the Liberals demanded that, wait for it, the government report back to the house on the economy’s progress.
I guess they figured that might not come up otherwise.

It’s not surprising that the death of the coalition – thanks to the back room appointment of Michael Ignatieff to the Liberal helm – has angered no one more than Jack Layton. After all, the coalition was Jack’s only hope of ever actually forming a part of government, even it it were a coalition with the Liberals and seperatist Bloc Quebecois, at least Jack would finally get a seat at the grown up table.

Honourable Senators,
Members of the House of Commons,
Ladies and gentlemen,
In these uncertain times, when the world is threatened by a struggling economy, it is imperative that we work together, that we stand beside one another and that we strive for greater solidarity.
Today, in our democratic tradition, Canadians expect that their elected representatives will dedicate their efforts to ensure that Canada emerges stronger from this serious economic crisis.
Once again, the people’s representatives have gathered to consider the priorities of another parliamentary session.
