Trapped in Suburbia…

Elizabeth May held a press conference to confirm she’s had discussions with Stephane Dion on being appointed to the senate so she can be part of the coalition government. Never-mind that the NDP-Liberal-Bloc coalition isn’t in power yet.

CTV reports:

At a press conference in Ottawa, she suggested she would be open to the possibility of becoming a senator or cabinet minister, but the discussions with Dion were not specific.

May said that her party gained a significant number of votes in the last election and she would like to influence what happens in Ottawa under a potential coalition government.

“I would be the only senator that received a million votes,” she said.

In fact, Elizabeth May received just over 12,600 votes. Or 1.26% of the million votes she claims to have received. Then again, when it comes to common sense the Green Party, and Ms. May, nothing is common.

To top things off Ms. May has warned Stephen Harper not to put tanks on the hill. Honestly.

If there’s one person in Canada that doesn’t deserve to be allowed anywhere near parliament its Elizabeth May. I can see why Stephane Dion wants her around, she’s the only person in Canada that actually manages to make him look good.

It looks like the buffoonery in Ottawa has finally reached epic proportions.

  1. But Raf, she is such a nice lady – and smart too!

  2. Oh, but don’t you know?

Elizabeth May is the only thing the Green Party has going for it! So naturally, all of those votes must have been for her, and only for her!

It makes sense if you’re willing to be entirely dishonest about it.
